Opening Doors to your Future

Last week I wrote about closing doors and how sometimes we have to close a wrong door in order for God to open the right one. But this week I just wanted to encourage you and remind you that God has a plan laid out for you – for your present and for your future.

“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” {Jeremiah 29:11}

He already is making all the connections needed for a successful life. He is operating behind the scenes even when you can’t feel it. He is coordinating amazing people to collide with your life to make awesome relationships with you. He has lined up that big break you’ve been wanting and needing in your life. Even when you can’t feel it, and it seems stagnant and nothing is happening, there is so much happening behind the scenes that are in YOUR favor. He is FOR YOU!

On the way to our destination and ultimate plan God has for us, we might get some closed doors and “no’s” or endings to relationships that in that moment, seem upsetting and disappointing. But that’s when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture. There was a reason. Don’t ever give up. Your big break might be around the corner.

Our faith is strengthened when we push through even when it doesn’t make sense. We grow and become stronger with every “no” or “yes” that we get in life. Just stay focused on what God has planned for you. Seek Him and ask Him when you have a decision to make. He will show you!

Opportunities are around every corner for you. Just open your eyes to what future God has for you. He wants you to succeed. He has given you all the tools you need for a successful and happy life. Seek Him. Know Him. He loves you so much and is waiting for you to take a step towards Him. He will meet you there.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” {Romans 8:38-39}

  1. One of my most favorite verses ever!! Romans 8:38-39…thank you for sharing!! It is easy to get stuck on a closed door, but if we keep our focus on Him and not the doors it will make the open door even better! Great post!
