Pray for Life

shutterstock_116298694Sometime’s it’s not all rosey. Sometime’s it’s not always happy and we don’t always have those fuzzy sweet feelings when leading Embrace Grace & Life.

Sometime’s it’s hard. Sometime’s it breaks you.

Sometime’s the need feels too great that our small hands and hearts can offer the world. Sometime’s we meet our “blooms” and they may be wilting, barely able to hold their head up. They are lost and searching in desperation for a Rescuer to pick up all of the broken petals and help put their life together again. They need someone to point them to the Sonlight. Sometime’s you meet a girl that is completely alone with a child, and has no family support whatsoever. Sometime’s you meet a girl that lost everything and is barely hanging on. Sometime’s you meet girls that are self-mutilators and are tormented by thoughts of fear, worry and suicide.

The battle is real.

WE NEED YOU. We need prayers from every single one of you. We have to fight back spiritually from what is stolen, lost and destroyed. We need prayer warriors that will battle with us in the heavenlies, claiming life and victory over our bloom’s lives. This isn’t a sunday school class where they hear a verse and meet a few people and leave. WE ARE WARRING FOR OUR GIRL’S HEARTS pointing them to the throne of heaven. We are showing them who they are and WHOSE they are. We are speaking life into souls that are CRAVING words of hope and destiny. We are shining a light into lives where their world is full of darkness.

You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. {Matthew 5:14-15 MSG}

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” {John 8:12 NLT}

We need you. We can’t do this alone. We need intercessors to help us in this battle. These young mommies and daddies are precious. They have a beautiful destiny and purpose. They are created for something so much bigger than what they might be settling for. They have real problems and real pain. They have feelings and they carry a lot of weight and baggage with them when they come in – we need prayer to show them how to take it off when they leave.

Tears are flowing as I type this. We lost a precious mommy yesterday that had felt like there was no more hope. Three sweet babies will grow up not having their mommy to kiss them goodnight and to love on them. Our sweet bloom that was her best friend is now grieving the loss of this life taken too soon. Although we only met her once, she will forever be remembered in our hearts and this has fueled the passion for saving mommies and babies even more. This has ignited an even more intense fire to change lives and hearts – we will not give up our fight for LIFE.

Please join us in this battle by loving extravagantly and praying without ceasing. The world needs the love of Christ – everywhere and all around you, broken people are crying out for a sign and to see the world with different eyes. We are the hands and feet of Jesus – all of us together can show the love of Christ.

Today is a day we fight harder for life than ever before. Every life is valuable and priceless. We will not stop our passion for LIFE and LOVE.

Please add the leaders to your daily prayer list in 2014 as we walk out the calling God has placed on our hearts. Please add the blooms to your prayer list that their hope is renewed in Christ and that they turn to their Rescuer and heavenly Father every day.

  1. This breaks my heart, and hits so close to home. I lost a friend almost 19 years ago, who left behind 3 children after a battle with postpartum depression. I am not sure what the case was here, and the details are not important. However, as I have watched her children grow, I have been made painfully aware of how their mothers absence has shaped their life. I encourage whoever is reading this to start praying peace and protection around these children that have been left behind and that Godly people will be brought into their lives to love and nurture them. I do pray for the blooms every day, and I am always here to love, mentor, and encourage them.

  2. Beautifully written, Amy. This is a war we are fighting and these precious lives are worth it all! This isn’t a class to fill with fluff, it is a time to walk these ladies into the throne room!
