I’ve been trying and testing out a new love tactic … so far the results are awesome.

Every day, I prayerfully go through my phone contact list (or facebook friends to message) and I ask God, who needs encouragement and love today? A name (or names) will pop out at me or I’ll picture someone’s face in my mind and I’ll know that’s who God is showing me that needs some love.

Then I Love Bomb them.

I’ll send them a text message saying that I was just thinking about them and that God brought them to my mind and I just wanted to encourage them and tell them how much I love them and just inspire them wherever they are in their life at that moment. The responses are greatness. It’s SO fun!

A few responses:

“Thank you Amy! What made you say that? It was such a pleasant surprise to wake up to!”

“Awe!!!! Amy! I always want to say hi but I thought you guys were upset with me – I thought that maybe when I shared my testimony that you all were ashamed of everything I did and my old life and maybe no one might want to hear from me anymore. But I am REALLY happy you wrote me – this makes me cry! … I’m so thankful for EG, I still to this day remember the hardest part of that class was actually saying, “I forgive myself.” The vision of EG saves more lives you could ever fathom.” (God obviously wanted me to love bomb her because Satan had been whispering lies about her past that was far from the truth. Her story is inspiring and awesome – everything she has been through and to see where she is a true testimony of God’s awesome grace and love.  This girl is one of my heroes – she is so young and works SO hard doing school and work and a mommy. We are SO proud of her!!!!)

“Awe thank you so much! That’s so sweet and it made my day!”

“Thank you and you are so right. I was just getting frustrated about circumstances earlier today and your text was perfect timing – I love you too!”

I’m going to keep doing it. I love the responses!

What if we all did it? One word from God can change someone’s life … you never know. Let’s start a Love Bomb Revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Try it out and then post a comment on the reactions you get!

 My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. {1 John 3:18-20}
