My arms wrapped around her waist as we swayed back and forth during a song at Pink Impact. She sang with all her heart the words to the song Oh how He loves us. She was pregnant and had some concerns weighing heavily upon her heart. She had a few chest pains that day, she thought it was probably from anxiety. During the song she began to relax and feel God’s love surround her. Her anxiousness began to fade away with each sway to the music.

Every time I hear that particular song begin to play; she immediately comes to mind. Many times I will text her and say Oh How He loves you Kaylee! She will respond with a happy and thankful heart to know she was thought of. A simple act of kindness and word of encouragement goes such a long way.

It’s like making little ripples in the water. The ripple effect begins to make lasting impressions upon the hearts and lives that you touch. It continues to build upon those ripples as they reach out to others close to them. Countless lives are being touched by love that you pour out in a special way. It begins with you. You are the ripple.

A ripple effect is known as the repercussions of an event or situation experienced far beyond its immediate location. Ripples are formed by small waves.

This past weekend during a worship encounter Pastor Zach Neese was ushering us into the Presence of God. He began to sing How He loves us! My eyes were closed and fully engaged into the heart of worship.

I saw the ocean before me. At first there was just Kaylee and I with our feet in the sand and the waves splashing onto us. Then one by one more Embrace Grace girls began to join in. Leaders also began to join. As each girl approached the ocean, they joined each other with arms open wide and interlocked arms at the waist and began to sway back and forth.

Hundreds upon hundreds of girls began to join alongside leaders. Any uneasiness, anxiety, nervousness, fear or concerns began to fade away as the tide came with each wave. The embrace stretched for miles upon miles across the ocean seashore. Thousands of embrace grace girls and leaders were joined in a sweet embrace.

I opened my eyes and was so moved by what I had just seen. Embrace Grace leaders have had words about waves, tidal waves, and tides in the recent weeks. There is a stirring. A wave.  A movement that is spreading across the bodies of water stretching across our nations. Just as a tide begins to rise and fall upon the waters of the ocean and its inlets that is produced by the attraction of the sun and moon. So is the tide and waves upon waves of girls with an unplanned pregnancy are being attracted to this embrace movement.

Day and night, night and day is welcomed by the sun and moon. Your days and nights no matter if they are filled with questions, concerns, nervousness, a little bit of anxiety, or fear please know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We are here. Our arms are open wide! Ready to embrace. Ready to love.

I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. {Psalm 42:7-8}

Another definition of  tide is to assist in getting over a period of distress or difficulty. We want to come along beside you and give words of love and encouragement to fill your days and nights during your pregnancy and journey into becoming a mommy.

This wave is rising and gaining momentum with each new day. As more churches and pregnancy resource centers get wind of what we are about, they are impelled and drawn to know more about us. They inquire how to get involved. How to start a group at their location. We send them the packets and tools to equip them to begin a group right where they are.

This is how the embrace movement will stretch miles upon miles across the ocean. With our arms joined together embracing these precious girls, with their feet in the sand and the waves splashing all around them. Their cares, concerns and anxieties will fade away and they can look ahead at the One that will carry them through every situation they encounter. They can trust Jesus. The One that walked on water. The One that says do not be afraid. Jesus says I am here. I am near. I am for you.

Catch a wave and join the embrace movement. If you are a church, pregnancy resource center or leader and this speaks to your heart, please contact us for more information about how to start an Embrace Grace at your location.

If you are single and pregnant we pray that this speaks to your heart in a sweet way. May you be able to close your eyes and imagine yourself standing at the edge of the waters in the ocean. The sand beneath your toes. The waves at your feet. Our team and leaders of Embrace Grace along with many other girls standing with arms open wide ready to interlock arms with you and sway back and forth to the rhythm of your heart.

And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of mighty ocean waves… {Revelations 14:2}

Oceans by Hillsong and Tides full album by Bethel are songs that have been on repeat and I listen to them over and over again. May you be inspired to listen as well. As you watch the videos on you tube may you be able to visually see yourself standing in the ocean and allow your cares, concerns and fears to fade away with the tides.
